UTAG denies media reports that it has given gov’t ultimatum to lift ban on lecturer recruitment

The University Teachers Association, UTAG says it is not true it has given government a two week ultimatum to lift the ban on employment.

It says it is an erroneous impression being created in the media.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the President of UTAG, Harry Agbanu, however said the current situation where the Universities pay some of their Lecturers from their internally generated funds is draining their coffers.
