Ecobank customers fumes over faulty Teller machine at banking Hall
Customers at the Ring Road branch of Ecobank Ghana have expressed their disgust at the poor quality of service they receive from the bank and have asked the management of the bank to do something about it. One major setback that customers were upset over was the faulty self service wireless ticket dispenser machine at the banking hall and as a result of this unfortunate development, customers of the bank are left to their fate especially if one could not catch the eye of a teller and in other situations a teller would have to shout out “next person” before one can be attended to.
Most customers that spoke to The Republic were not happy with the poor customer care services they are receiving from one of Africa’s revered banks. Whiles some said they will send official complaints to the manager in charge of the Ring Road branch others also threatened to close their account if nothing is done about it.
During the first quarter or so of this year, a customer upon entering into the Ring Road branch of Ecobank Ghana would have to obtain an automated receipt with teller code which enables one to be attended to within the shortest possible time without any hustle whatsoever, an experience that resonates with international standards of excellent customer service.
It is hard to fathom why the Ring Road branch of Ecobank Ghana located right in the heart of the Accra’s business district will introduce a system that makes both the customer and the business entity transact business in an efficient manner and later abandon the system without any explanations to customers and expect operations to go on without any inconveniences.
When the corporate communication department of Ecobank Ghana was contacted last week, they claimed of knowing nothing about the breakdown of the machine at the said branch and promised investigate and officailly communicate their finding to this reporter.
But unfortunately checks done on tuesday at the same ring road branch indicates that nothing has been done to fix the faulty self service wireless ticket dispenser machine which quicken the pace of transacting business at a banking halls.
