Ho Technical University matriculates first batch of Mtech students

Ho Polytechnic, now Ho Technical University (HTU) on Friday, 16th September, 2016 matriculated it’s first batch of 13 students to pursue various master of technology programmes.

This includes Mtech in Mechanical Engineering with specializations in Automobile, Production and Refrigeration and Mtech Agricultural Engineering with Soil and Water and Post Harvest options. The Mtech programmes are being run in collaboration with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Knust).

The Pro Vice Chancellor of HTU, Dr. Ben Honyenuga in a statement delivered on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, announced that the first female to enrol on the Mtech programme will be offered a scholarship

“May I announce that the first female to enrol on the programme will be offered a handsome scholarship package,” the statement said.

Ho Technical University thus becomes the first University among the newly converted Polytechnics in Ghana to begin Mtech Programmes after doing same with Bachelor of Degree Programmes among Polytechnics.

Mtech Programmes are run on intensive sandwich semester basis.
