Ghana’s Andre Ayew shortlisted for African Player of the Year
Deputy captain of Ghana Black Stars, Andre Ayew, has been shortlisted in a CAF 30 man list for the African Player of the Year award.
The West Ham United attacking midfielder is the only Ghanaian who made it to the CAF’s preliminary 30-man list for the 2016 African Player of the Year after an impressive year with his former club, Swansea.
Ayew, who finished his debut season at Swansea City as the club’s top scorer, will be hoping for better after missing on the last edition when he finished third behind winner Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Yaya Toure.
