Ursula Confesses JM’s Goodness After Prez. Commisions Dansoman School Complex
The New Patriotic Party MP for Abeluma West has finally admitted that she has seen the light and can no longer spew any more of her vitriolic propaganda against President Mahama.
Speaking on Saturday at the inauguration of an ultra-modern School Complex at Okpoti-Dansoman in the Ablekuma West Constituency, the MP for the area, Madam Ursula Owusu was so impressed with the project that she had to admit that, she in all honesty cannot continue with the vile propaganda by Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP.
She admitted, “I cannot say that the President has not done anything.”
Those present at the function who heard Ursula Owusu’s confession included traditional rulers, parents, school pupils, education officials, academics, residents, officials of the Chines and the United States of America Embassies and other politicians. Some observers wondered if it was the same Ursula Owusu they knew who is always critical about John Dramani’s government.
Recently, the Ablekuma West MP had summed up President Mahama’s first term in office as characterized by ‘an institutionalization of mediocrity’ If you talk about mediocrity, then they have done very, very well in that respect but if you talk about delivering development then there are huge question marks.”
She stressed that building roads, schools and hospitals are basic items on every government’s to-do lists.
“Popping champagne over the School buildings is a celebration of mediocrity,” she suggested.
The Dansoman School Complex, which comes with modern international standard facilities, is part of the Accra Millenium Schools Project being executed under the sponsorship of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
The complex starts from kindergarten through primary, junior high to senior high school. It also has facilities for vocational and technical training.
The aim is to eliminate shift system schools in Accra, and also provide the various communities with modern and standard school facilities.
The projects are been supported with grants from China and the United States of America.
President Mahama who inaugurated the project said it was part of a scheme to uplift the less privileged sections of society.
He noted that his administration will continue to strive and work hard to ensure that every child of school going age is giving quality education to guarantee them a secure future.
President Mahama thanked China and the USA for their support, adding that the Millennium School Concept “is what we call integrated education.”
“A child can start from kindergarten at the Dansoman School Complex, Okpoti and finally come out of vocational or technical school with the skills to go into the world of work. This indeed is a centre of excellence,” he said.
