Prof Ahwoi Joins NDC Campaign in BA
Veteran political strategist, Professor Kwamena AHWOI has joined Chief of Staff Julius Debrah on the campaign tour of the BRONG AHAFO region.
The move according to party insiders is to ensure a resounding victory for President John MAHAMA to make it difficult for the main opposition party from rejecting the polls come December 7.
The NDC has so far formed four campaign teams
Led by the President on one hand, the Vice President, General Secretary, Johnson ASIEDU Nketia and Julius Debrah who is feared by the NPP because of his organizational skills.
Professor Ahwoi’s accompanied the delegation including Deputy General Secretary KokuAnyidoho, 1st deputy National Communications Director, Kweku BOAHENE, Presidential Staffers, BRONG AHAFO regional Minister the Nkoranza North MCE and party executives to pay a courtesy call on the Chief of Yefri, a farming community in the area.
In a brief remark, the Chief, Nana OTENG Akresi commended the President for honoring his promise to construct the major road though the town to JEMA and also linking Nkoranza.
He also assure the President JOHN Dramani MAHAMA of his full support after fulfilling another major pledge to provide the area with a Senior High School.
Nana Akresi however said as demands are insatiable he would wish the President is retained to bring more development projects to the area to create jobs and to improve the lives of the people.
Earlier Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and the Regional Minister campaigned at Dramankese where they emphasized on the NDCs manifesto on job creation.
Mr Julius Debrah said as an agrarian area, the people must take advantage of the mechanized farming initiative that is expected to make farming easy and attractive especially the youth.
Mr Julius Debrah who explained the policy initiative said the project involves the provision of tractors, ploughing machines and other tools needed to facilitate cultivation of crops even without cash so farmers can pay after harvest.
He commended the people for their continued support for the NDC but said this time they should vote for both the President and the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Nkoranza North, KWADWO ADJEI Dwomor who he said will be the best liaison officer between the Presidency and the people when the NDC government is retained.
The Chief of Staff also reiterated the appeal to Ghanaians to give President John MAHAMA a second term in office to complete a full eight years just is they did to former President Rawlings and KUFUOR.
He assured that from the numerous bold infrastructure projects opening up the country and creating opportunities for all, president JOHN MAHAMA will stand tall as one of the best Presidents Ghana has ever had.
KwadwoAdjeiDwomor who is also the DCE for the area referred the people to the failed promises by the NPP to fix the roads when President KUFUOR was in power.
Regional Minister, ERIC Opoku assured the People that the road to Dramankese has been awarded on contract and will be completed.
He said when completed the area would be opened up to facilitate trade.
MrOpoku urged the people in the area to give President Jon MAHAMA a resounding victory in hour of his hard working First Lady, Lordina MAHAMA who hails from the region.
Nkoranza north is a typical farming community and one of GHANA’S food basket. Major crops cultivated In the area include yam and other tubers, maize and cashew.
