Mahama campaign stuns Eastern Region
President Mahama is expected to crunch more campaign mileage in the Eastern Region of Ghana in the coming days. This is expected to give the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) further in-roads into the stronghold of the opposition NPP.
Eastern Region is a known stronghold of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) but the NDC has vowed to split the votes in that region with is 50-50 agenda. President Mahama is currently spearheading that agenda in the region with his campaign.
According to his campaign spokesperson, Joyce BawahMogtari President Mahama would inaugurate a number of projects in the region and address several rallies during his tour of the region. “The President and Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is expected to inaugurate a new Community Day Senior High School at KwahuFodoa,” MsMogtari stated in a statement released this week.
“ Our Humble, Trustworthy , Peaceful and Hardworking President will also address a mini rally at Ahomahomaso, Anyinam and Osino. President John Dramani Mahama was welcomed into the Eastern Region by tumultuous crowds at Takorasi, Kade and Asamankese. He inaugurated a Community Day SHS in Takorasi. The overwhelming support and endorsement by the chiefs and people of the Eastern Region signals a resounding victory for President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC,” the campaign spokesperson stated.
