Explosives found around minister’s house; Security officers begin investigations

Security officers in the Ashanti region have begun investigations into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of some explosives around the residence of the deputy Ashanti regional minister Andy Osei Okrah.

The investigations come after one of the supposed explosives went off Monday evening. It is unclear who planted the explosives or who the target was.

A military search party that was dispatched to the premises after the explosion discovered three others around the premises Tuesday morning.

According to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako Justice, the deputy minister’s house shares a wall with the national security data center in Kumasi.

No injuries were recorded in the explosion
