Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Declared President Elect Of Ghana
The chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei has declared the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President elect of Ghana in the December 7th general elections.
She made the declaration after collating all the votes from all the 275 constituencies manually across the country. She indicated earlier that the electronic system had been compromised and called for more time in order to accurately compute the votes manually in the presidential elections.
President elect, Nana Addo beats competition from six other candidates in this year’s general election.
His main competitor, the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NDC has ruled for the last eight years but President Mahama has served only one term.
