President Mahama At His Hometown For Christmas
President Mahama received the biggest welcome to his hometown of Bole in the Northern Region yesterday Saturday 24th December, 2016.
The road where the President passed to his residence at the Cocoa Research Institute Guest House in Bole was filled with enthusiastic and chanting supporters on motorbikes, cars and bicycles. Over 3000 people waited for President Mahama to arrive at night and it took the security a hectic time to move him to his residence as the roads in Bole were choked with people from all walks of life that followed the convoy.
Among the Presidents entourage are his Wife First Lady Lordina Mahama, all his children including Farida Mahama and many family members and family friends.
On arrival President Mahama met with NDC Executives for Bole- Bamboi and selected opinion leaders for private discussions.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITY TODAY SUNDAY 25TH DECEMBER, 2016.
9:00am to 10:00am- Private Prayers with Christian and Muslim groups.
10:00am- Visit to the Bolewura, Paramount Chief of Bole Traditional Area.
10:30- Visit to the Chief Imam of Bole.
11:00am- Visit to the family house of the late Mr Haruna Liman who was a great friend of the President and an Assemblyman for over 20years.
11:30am- Visit to the family house of Braimah Mahama Abanga, the late NDC Organiser for Bole -Bamboi who had an accident and died on the day of the 2016 election after picking pink sheets at a rural area and on his way to Bole.
12:00noon- Visit to the family house of a late aunty of the President.
12:30pm- Meeting with selected kids from across the Bole District at the house of E.A. Mahama (father of President Mahama) to share the love of the Christmas season with them.
4:00pm- Departure to Tamale to pick a flight to Accra.
Meanwhile, President Mahama before leaving for Bole extended his warm wishes to Ghanaians and urges the nation to reflect on the birth and life of Jesus Christ as we count our numerous blessings over the years.
