A Political Historian and Chair of Journalism at the African University College of Communication, AUCC, Professor Nana Essilfie Conduah, says the Ministry of Education and stakeholders in the education sector should restructure the curriculum of education in the country to inculcate in the youth the spirit of patriotism and nationalism.

He said the current form of education puts less priority on citizenship and patriotism, denying the younger generation the need to sacrifice for the nation.

In an interview with Radio Ghana in Accra, Professor Conduah, indicated that infusing into the younger generation the traits of patriotism and nationalism will go a long way to reduce the “breakneck rate of corruption” in the country.
